Non-region away games FEE

Parents just a reminder that for most, if not all, of our non-region away games there will be an entrance fee to get in. Our region is one of the only regions that is free for girls games.

November 21st Practice CHANGE

Because of a wrestling meet that will be held at Davis High School,

practice on Wednesday, November 21^st will be at 9:00 am at the South Davis Recreation Center in Bountiful. Please enter through the Bountiful Jr. High doors on 400 North (south side).

Sweatshirts for SALE

We had some size problems with our new sweatshirts.  (they are gold with a brown basketball and D on them).  We have some extras we are willing to sell to parents and family.  We have 4 Larges and 1 xl left.  We are going to be ordering more as well.  If you would like one, Let Coach Jones or myself know by MONDAY.  Let me know what size you would like us to order.  They run a little big.  They are $28. They are great sweatshirts to have for the season.  You can leave a comment on this post to let me know, or let us know through your athlete.  Thanks.

Fee Update

We have changed the day we are paying our fees.  We announced at the meeting Monday during practice but we are now going all together, to the office, to pay our fees TUESDAY, Nov 13, RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL.  Meet in the office so we can all do it together and efficiently.  Thank you.

Team Pictures Thursday

Davis High Girls Basketball Players; Attached is the order form for Future Images, who will be taking our team pictures on Thursday, November 8, 2012. Please fill out the order form and save a copy of it to your computer for your records. Then, there are 2 options for turning in the completed order form: Either send the completed form as an attachment to shawn@futureimagesposters.com (preferred method) before Thursday. Or, print out a copy and bring it on Thursday to deliver to the photographer. After pictures, we will be able to see them online at www.futureimages.instaproofs.com where they will be posted.

Recruiting Seminar Info

Recruiting Seminar for all athletes – Sr, Jr, Soph, & Freshman Monday, November 12 @ 7:00 pm If you are interested in playing at the next level, parents and athletes should plan on attending this event. Paul Putnam will talk about what classes you should be taking, ACT scores, gpa’s, how to make a recruiting video and most importantly, how to get your name out to the colleges and universities. "College Recruiting Simplified", to the athletes and parents of Davis High School Monday November 12 at 7:00pm in the gym. This event is sponsored by the NFL Players Association and ESPNhs, official partners of NCSA. Open Gym Saturday, October 20th

We are having open gym this Saturday 9-11 am at a church, the school will be closed for the break.
Please bring any basketballs you might have.

Updated Information

There is STILL a tryout meeting on Oct. 31^st @ 5:30 in the gym right before open gym that night, for athletes only.  

Anyone interested in trying out must be there to receive the “tryout check list” that must be filled out, signed by a parent and turned in before or at tryouts. No one can tryout without it.  If you cannot make to the meeting, make sure you pick a packet up from Coach Jones or Coach Salvo before.

Tryouts are November 5 at 12:00 pm.  There is no school so make sure you are there at 12:00 Noon on Monday.  Please come early to turn papers in, get shoes on and be ready to play at 12:00.  The team will be made Nov 6th after tryouts.

Open Gym Times and other important dates to remember:

Starting Sept. 26 – Nov. 3

Wednesdays 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Saturdays 9 – 11 am

Cost: $25 – pay in the office under girls basketball account #1419. We now have only 1 account so hopefully there won’t be so much confusion. Please check your receipt right after you pay to make sure it says: Girls Basketball. We’ve had problems in the past where the $ goes into baseball, boys basketball etc. Then please make sure the receipt is turned into one of the coaches.

Anyone who borrowed a jersey for spring and summer ball, PLEASE turn that in on the first day of open gym. You will have to pay for it if you don’t.

Please pass on this info about open gym to anyone who might not be on this distribution list or anyone who you think might be interested in trying out.

Summer Clinic

Wow....where were we?

Not quite sure what happened but we are up and running again. Thank you to each of the girls for a wonderful season full of memories and friendships.

Also, just a reminder that if you are interested in any of the off-season opportunities, please communicate that with Coach Webb ASAP...her email is tejwebb22@gmail.com.

Finally, a big thanks to all of our AWESOME parents for a wonderful banquet to compliment an equally great season. All of our parent committees did such a great job over the course of the season and we want you to know how much we appreciate your efforts and most especially the opportunity that we have had to work with your fine daughters. It has truly been a privilege for us.
