Texas Roadhouse fundraiser

We will be having our Texas Roadhouse fundraiser tomorrow night (Monday) at 6:00.
Players, please be there no later than 5:40. Wear your new long sleeve gray shirt. 
Just a reminder, Texas Roadhouse will be catering the dinner. Pulled pork sandwiches, rolls, and salad. As a team, we will be providing the drinks and dessert. We have asked the girls to being the following:
Senior/juniors: dozen cookies each girl.
Sophomores/freshman: 3 dozen canned pop. We will not be using cups so please bring cans.
We will be bringing bottled water, drinks and desserts as well. 

Please try and remind the people you sold the tickets to, so we can have a great turn out. Feel free to invite any others. We should have a few extra tickets as they come in. We are looking forward to it.

Banner letter 2013

This is an official letter you can print out for the businesses to have for their proof.  Tell them you will get them a receipt  after you take the check to the school.  Pay it to davis high girls basketball.  Again, put all the money in the account then we will reimburse you.  this is how it works at davis high, I hope this is understand and that is makes sense.  Ask your athlete to talk to us if you have a question about it at practice. banner price - school policy

Banner updated price-
Sorry for the confusion but there is a set fee for the baner at Davis high school-
$500 for new banner.
$425 for an existing banner. Whether we already have it or if they give one already made. (NOT $250 like I had mentioned at the meeting)
You will get 40% back of $375(after price to make banner) or 40% back of $425 for existing banner.
BUT, DO NoT keep the 40% when they pay you. Put it ALL into the girls basketball account and then we will credit the difference back to you to your account. This is how it needs to be done through the school policy. If you have questions. Have your players ask us so there is no confusion. Thanks

Correction

You can pay only your district fee online. You cannot pay your others fees online. You need to pay all other fees in the office. Or you can pay all fees in the office, including district fee as well. Sorry for the confusion.

Form A (click here) is for anyone who HAS NOT been on a Davis High team. It requires a doctor's signature so please make arrangements to have this ready by the deadline.

Form B (click here) is for anyone who HAS played on a Davis High team (either this year or a prior year) It requires a parents signature.

DAVIS GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS 2013-14


GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS – 2013-14

Tryouts will be Monday November 11th from 3:00- 6:00 pm in the auxiliary gym and Tuesday, November 12th from 2:45- 5:00 pm in the main gym. Final cuts will be Tuesday, November 12th after tryouts.

Those players who make the Davis High girls basketball team will begin practices on Wednesday, November 13th – 3:00 Aux. gym

Practice schedule: A Day – 1:00 – 3:30   B Day – weights @ 2:45/ practice 3:30 – 6:00 pm

Tryout Meeting

 Tryout Meeting:  October 28th @ 5:30 in the main gym. Anyone interested in trying out for the 2013-14 Davis High Girls Basketball team must attend the tryout meeting and pick up a “Tryout Checklist” form. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can access the form at www.uhsaa.org or on the school website under “athletics”/forms. This form must be filled out and must be turned inbefore tryouts. It can be turned in on or before Monday, November 11th. You will not be able to tryout until this form is filled out, signed by a parent or guardian and turned in. To be eligible, a player must have at least a 2.0 gpa, no more than one “F” and no “U’s”.

Fall 3 x 3 Fast Break League

Attached is a flyer for the 3x3 Fall Fast Break League. One of the sites will be in Woods Cross. This is No-Coach league but a great opportunity to get ready for the season. So grab some teammates and get a team together!

Each night of the league they will offer a FREE instructional clinic for any players who would like to attend.  They will work on spacing, cutting, screening, passing, finishing and transition dynamics. Instructors will be Anita Rowland, Alli Bills, Stacy Jensen and our staff.

Davis Camp Update

!!IMPORTANT CAMP REGISTRATION INFORMATION!!
Camp registration will take place in the main office. You can register before June 10th or the day of camp. Registration forms can be accessed on our blog or there are forms in the office. If you are registering the day of camp, please arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to get registered. The office opens at 7:00 am. Camp will start promptly at 9:00 am.

Davis Basketball Scoop


As a coaching staff, we have finalized our spring/summer schedule. We will NOT be playing in the Weber State Jamboree based on such few numbers. We have tried to make the teams as competitive as possible and also on positions needed.  

Also, our camp dates (June 10, 11, & 12), times and other details will soon be on the blog and will hopefully be on the school website soon. Please register the day of the camp.

If you have not signed up for something and still want to, please let us know. Also, if you know of some incoming freshman who we do not have contact info for and who would be interested in playing this spring/summer or would just like to come to open gym, please forward this email to them.

Again, please pay ASAP in the office. It is very important that you tell them Girls Basketball account #1419. Then double check the receipt to make sure that is where the $ was paid into. Also, please make sure the receipt is given to Coach Jones.

Spring Fling Info



Cost: $70 – please pay in the office asap. Tell the secretary it is for Girls Basketball acct. #1419 and that is it is for Spring Fling. Double check your receipt immediately after you pay and make sure it says “GIRLS BASKETBALL acct. #1419”. We have had problems with $ going into different accounts. Please make sure one of your receipts gets to one of the coaches.
Thank you for getting your payments in asap…we have to have $ in the account so we can pay for this league.

Teams: **please be ready 15 minutes before game time (all gear on/shoes tied etc.)
             ***please be aware of commuter traffic problems and plan ahead to give yourself plenty of time
             ****if you are unable to play in a game, please let us know as soon as you can.
             *****please wear your practice uniforms *freshmen: we will get you a Davis uniform top to wear. If possible, please wear black shorts.
