Contact List & Dinner Sign-up Sheet

Congrats to the 2014-15 team!  

Please take a few minutes to fill out the contact information for your athlete. You can do so by clicking on the following link:



You will notice you are redirected to a sharable google doc, please enter the information for your athlete or if any information we have from previous years is incorrect, please make the quick corrections to keep us up to date. It's that easy!

We also will need help with dinners for game-days again. You will notice that the 4 pre-season away games have an (*) by them, this designates that 2 parents will need to work together for these dinners, instead of just one by him/herself, due to the fact that we have more players than games scheduled (not including the State Tournament) and we want to make sure everyone is involved. It is a "First Come, First Serve" system so get signed up quickly, especially considering our first game is in one week! If there are any problems with providing a meal, please feel free to contact us about it and we will be more than willing to work with you. Home dinners should be ready at 3:30 pm and for away games, please have lunches to the school by 1:45 pm or to the visiting school by 3:00 pm.

TRY-OUTS INFO UPDATE

To be able to try out, parents and athletes need to complete all the required forms, excluding the physical form and paying the district participation fees (all fees will be paid in the Davis High School main office). However, it is important to note that if you make the team, physicals and participation fees are required to play in the FIRST GAME.

The last open gyms will be Monday, November 3rd and Wednesday, November 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Players need to pick up a "tryout eligibility" form from the coaches and return it to Mrs. Gale in the office. Or you can go directly to the office and fill one out for Mrs. Gale.

*** Finally, there will be a PARENTS MEETING, Wednesday, November 12th, in Coach Hewlett's room (#2410) right after practice at 6:15 pm. This is for all team members and one or both parents. We will be providing info for the upcoming season.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!


   

       In place of the UHSAA Tryout Checklist that has been used the past few years, all parents of athletes who tryout MUST go to www.uhsaa.org and follow the directions and steps for "PARENTS" and register their athlete. This MUST be done before tryouts in order for anyone to tryout on November 10th. No fees are required at this time and all fees when required will be paid in the office at Davis High School.

        All athletes, whether they have played a sport at Davis High School or not, will be required to have a physical each year they participate. Coach Butler knows a doctor who will do our physicals for $15 if you don't want to use your family doctor. More info on that to follow. The physical forms can be found on the registermyathlete website or on the Davis High School website under "Athletics" and then under "Forms." Physical A form is the one needed.

Open Gym

Lace-up your shoes and come get ready for tryouts and the 2014-2015 season!

DAVIS GIRLS BASKETBALL OPEN GYM SCHEDULE

  • Mondays & Wednesdays starting September 15 - October 22 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
    • Cost is $25
    • Please pay in the office under Girls Basketball and give your receipt to Coach Jones
  • Mondays & Wednesdays starting October 27 - November 5 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
    • FREE OPEN GYM
***On B days we may have to start in the small gym until volleyball practice is over! ***

Tryouts will be held November 10th and 11th, so every second in the gym helps. Can't wait to see ya there!

7th-10th Grades: 9 am - 12 noon (Girls only – Big Gym)
1st-6th Grades: 9 am - 12 noon (Boys and Girls – Little Gym)
Camp will start promptly at 9:00 am on June 9th, so please pay in the office prior to that time to make sure you’re officially registered. The office is open from 7 am - 2 pm M-F.

This is free and open to all 9th-11thgraders.

All star game

SARAH BEECHER – 5A ALL-STAR

Congrats to Sarah Beecher. She has been selected as a 5A all-star. The all-star game will be on March 22nd at 10:00 am at Taylorsville High School. Come support Beecher and cheer her on. This is DHS’s third straight year that we have had at least one player selected to play in the all-star game.
